Community & Veteran Support
Post 91 is dedicated to honoring and supporting veterans and the local community through various events and ceremonies. The Flag Disposal Ceremony ensures that worn American flags are retired with dignity and respect. The Gifts for the Yanks Appreciation Dinner expresses gratitude to hospitalized veterans by providing gifts and a heartfelt evening in their honor. Memorial Day Services pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, while Patriots Day Remembrance and Pearl Harbor Remembrance events ensure that we never forget the significance of these historic days. POW/MIA Recognition Day acknowledges those who have yet to return home, and the Veterans Day Luncheon & Dinner brings the community together to celebrate and appreciate all who have served.
Fundraisers & Special Dinners
To support its programs and initiatives, Post 91 hosts several fundraisers and special dinners throughout the year. The annual Clam Bake, Pig Roast, and Spaghetti Dinners offer delicious meals in a warm, social setting. Friday Fish Frys are a favorite tradition, bringing members and the community together regularly. Reverse Raffle and Night at the Races provide an exciting way to raise funds while enjoying an evening of fun and camaraderie.
Public & Holiday Events
Post 91 takes great pride in engaging with the community during major public and holiday events. The Berea Independence Day Parade and Grindstone Festival celebrate local traditions, while the July 4th Fireworks event offers a spectacular tribute to our nation’s independence. Special breakfasts for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day give families a chance to celebrate their loved ones while enjoying a delicious meal together.
Social Gatherings & Celebrations
Throughout the year, Post 91 hosts a variety of social events that bring members, families, and the community together. The annual Christmas Party and Halloween Party provide festive fun for all ages. The Post 91 Birthday celebration honors the legacy and history of the Legion. Members can enjoy the camaraderie of the Post 91 Family Picnic and celebrate Irish heritage at the St. Patrick’s Day Party.
